What is Crazing?

Crazing explained and what it means for collectors of Aunt Jemima Cookie Jars.

Crazing is the word given to a spider web of fine cracks that can appear on the surface of materials such as ceramics.

These are not deep cracks which will typically cause a product to break. Rather, it is very fine lines appearing on the surface.
